The Phoenix Suns were mired in a standstill, after sending estranged point guard Eric Bledsoe home from practice after a weekend tweet that read “I don't wanna be here” went viral after a 42-point loss to the L.A. Clippers the day before.

But with a trade in the final stages between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Suns, who will get forward/center Greg Monroe and a first-round pick in return — patience has proved the biggest reason to this trade taking place.

Suns general manager Ryan McDonough previously stated the team had gotten plenty of calls and that he'd await the right situation to come along. Phoenix had set up talks with Milwaukee, seeking Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon and Monroe, as well as a draft pick in return for Bledsoe.

After the Bucks passed on the offer, taking Brogdon off the table — the Suns waited and waited, as talisman Giannis Antetokounmpo cooled off from a blazing start to his season, now failing to record a 30-point game in each of the Bucks' three straight losses since the two teams first talked.

Milwaukee was riding the Greek Freak's explosive outings to a 4-2 start, but found themselves at 4-5 after losses to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Charlotte Hornets, and the Detroit Pistons — opening the chance to re-open talks and convince the Bucks that they need Bledsoe to really challenge the big dogs in the East.

With teams like the Boston Celtics and Pistons showing good starts to the season, and a wounded lion in the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Bucks found this offer too good to pass up, ultimately settling in a more modest exchange.

The Bucks can now line up Bledsoe and Brogdon in the backcourt, while slotting Khris Middleton at small forward and Antetokounmpo at power forward — giving them incredible balance from one-to-four spots.

The Suns now will likely have to ride with Mike James at point, with now less than a month to make his two-way deal into a full-fledged NBA contract. James has started and gotten the majority of minutes upon Bledsoe's ban from the facility.
