Jamal Crawford will make his Phoenix Suns debut Saturday against the Denver Nuggets, according to Duane Rankin of Arizona Central.

Crawford signed a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Suns on Monday. He will be coming off Phoenix's bench.

In 80 regular-season games with the Minnesota Timberwolves last year, Jamal Crawford averaged 10.3 points while shooting 41.5 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from 3-point range. The veteran scoring guard declined his 2018-19 player option with the Timberwolves because he was looking for a bigger role. Crawford only played roughly 20 minutes a game with the Timberwolves, something he wasn’t expecting when he initially signed with Minnesota in the summer of 2017.

Jamal Crawford is a guy who can come off the bench and get buckets in a hurry. He has one of the best handles in NBA history and, even though he’s 38 years old, he can still score with the best of them. Defense has never been Crawford's strong suit, but then again, does anyone on the Suns play defense?

Crawford has career averages of 15.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 1,262 NBA games with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers and Timberwolves. He has won the Sixth Man of the Year award three times.
