The newest members of the Phoenix Suns, small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. and point guard Austin Rivers, are expected to join the team on Wednesday in Boston when the Arizona franchise take on the Celtics.

The Suns acquired Kelly Oubre Jr. and Austin Rivers from the Washington Wizards in exchange for veteran swingman Trevor Ariza.

Phoenix currently has the worst record in the NBA right now at 6-24. Oubre Jr. and Rivers aren't going to help the team make a drastic turnaround and reach the playoffs, but both are solid rotation players who can take some of the scoring load off of star shooting guard Devin Booker at times.

Rivers is averaging 7.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this year and shooting 39.2 percent from the field, 31.1 percent from beyond the arc and 54.3 percent from the free-throw line. He will become an unrestricted free after the season ends.

Oubre Jr., on the other hand, is averaging 12.9 points and 4.4 rebounds. The lefty is shooting 43.3 percent from the floor, 31.1 percent from the 3-point line and 80.0 percent from the charity stripe. Oubre Jr. will become a restricted free agent in the offseason if the Suns offer him a $4.8 million qualifying offer.
