As holders of the No. 1 pick in the upcoming 2018 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns are making due diligence of reviewing and weighing their options.

A couple of days after hosting Arizona Wildcats product Deandre Ayton in an exclusive workout, the Suns are about to do the same this Friday with Duke Blue Devils big man Marvin Bagley III, according to a report by Logan Newman of Arizonasports.com.

Furthermore, according to Newman, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough also seems to not want people thinking that Phoenix is only down to two options in Ayton and European phenom Luka Doncic.

“I think people are jumping to conclusions as far as maybe there are one or two guys maybe in the mix for us,” McDonough said at the NBA Combine in May. “There are a handful of guys, we met with Marvin Bagley this week here in Chicago, who, as you know, is a Phoenician, he is a local kid.”

Perhaps McDonough is just trying to mess with other general managers here in order to make it look as though the Suns could be taking a talent other teams are keeping a close eye on outside of Doncic and Ayton.

In any case, it would not come as that of a big shock if Phoenix spends its first pick on Bagley, a 6-foot-11 kid with promising offensive skills.

Marvin Bagley III was a double-double machine in the ACC for Duke. In 32 games for the Blue Devils, Bagley generated impressive averages of 21.0 points with a 61.4 percent field goal percentage and 11.5 rebounds per game.

The 2018 NBA Draft will be held this June 21 in Brooklyn.
