Devin Booker, who has quickly risen as the Phoenix Suns' franchise player, will meet with the team's executives to talk about his future.

As reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Booker, together with his agent, will meet with the Suns' owner and general manager to talk about his rookie extension contract. After three superb seasons with the Suns, Booker is considered a strong candidate for a max deal.

Booker was the 13th overall pick by the Phoenix Suns back in 2015. Right off the bat, he immediately established himself as a premier offensive talent. In his first three years as a pro, he is averaging 19.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.

In his second season, he scored 70 points against the Boston Celtics in a loss. Last season, he averaged 24.9 points and also won the 3-point contest. Such milestones pretty much sealed his name in the NBA as a surefire offensive gunner.

The Suns have a pretty good chance at luring in Booker to a long-term extension. The 21-year-old has expressed his desire of staying in Phoenix, noting that he's been treated well ever since his rookie season.

“I've been treated right from the day I was drafted, even when I was a rookie and didn't play much,” Booker told azcentral.com. “The city of Phoenix took me in with open arms and made me a part of their family. I've learned the history and traditions of the team. I know how much the city cares about the franchise and that means a lot to me, playing somewhere where people actually care about the franchise.

“I love it here, I bought a house here and I intend to be here for a long time.”
