Phoenix Suns rookie Mikal Bridges is already starting the smack talk with the Los Angeles Lakers. He's targeting second-year player and former Villanova teammate Josh Hart, in particular.

While doing a takeover of the Phoenix Suns' Twitter account, a fan asked Bridges if he was going to shut down Josh Hart. Bridges answered with a succinct “YUP.”

It didn't take long for Hart to respond:

The young Lakers are widely known for their social media presence. Hart, along with Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Kyle Kuzma, are routinely clowning one another on any and all social media.

They have been roasting each other so much that Lakers management had to tell them to tone it down a bit. They have to an extent, but it's hard to believe that Hart will let this one go. Hart and Bridges were teammates together at Villanova and there's sure to be a competitive fire between the two.

The roasting is always done in good fun. Bridges declared open social media war on Hart and the Lakers, and Hart quickly returned fire.

The NBA has yet to release its 2018-19 schedule, but it should be coming out sometime in mid-August. The first game between the Suns and the Lakers probably won't be a must-watch game due to the fact that the Lakers should roll Phoenix with their revamped roster. But, turn on post notifications for Bridges and Hart following the game to see if the former Villanova teammates have anything to say after their showdown.
