During Devin Booker's three-game absence during the Phoenix Suns' first-round series against the New Orleans Pelicans, the “Coach Book” phenomenon swept through Suns Twitter:

During Game 5 in Phoenix, a dapperly dressed Booker argued with referees about a charge called on the Suns in the first half. Lina Washington of 12News in Arizona saw the clip and decided to have some fun at Wednesday's shootaround.

She asked Monty Williams if he could see coaching in Booker's future. Monty's response was a big laugh and a very, very hard no:

“Book? Book has no patience for coaching. At all. No shot,” he chuckled. “There's no way. He's unbelievably competitive but I couldn't see him being an NBA coach. Maybe at Moss Point or something like that when he's done, but, no, not as an NBA coach. No shot.”

Booker's Suns teammate of two years, Jae Crowder, had similar opinions on “Coach Book.”

“No. He don't like it,” Crowder said. “He's good as a player being engaged, but I don't see him coaching. He don't have the patience for a coaching job right now. Maybe when he get older, but right now, as young Book, nah he's not there yet. I don't see it.”

Luckily for Suns fans, “Coach Book” may be no more. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday that Booker could return to action as early as Thursday's Game 6 in New Orleans:

The Suns' injury report lists Booker as “out” for Game 6 as of Thursday morning, but general manager James Jones said on Arizona Sports' Burns & Gambo Wednesday that he could be active, depending on how he's feeling before game time. The Suns have an opportunity Thursday to close out the series against the Pelicans in six games, which would set up a potential Western Conference SemiFinals series with either the Utah Jazz or Dallas Mavericks.
