Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes has gotten off to a hot start this season.

As a result, NBA execs think the Suns big man is going to get paid next summer, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic:

Through 11 games, Baynes is averaging 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 46.8 percent 3-point shooting (two 3s made per game). Baynes will enter free agency next July, and as one team executive said, “He is positioning himself for well over $10 million per year.”

Baynes is making $5.4 million this season. He will become an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

The Suns acquired Baynes from the Boston Celtics over the summer. His strong play has helped Phoenix jump out to a 7-4 start this season.

Can the Suns keep this sound play up for an entire season? Only time will tell. Phoenix hasn't made the playoffs since 2010.

Baynes, 32, has career averages of 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 438 games with the San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, Celtics and Suns. His move from Boston to Phoenix wasn't talked about that much by pundits, but with the Suns playing well and Baynes producing stellar numbers, people outside of Phoenix are starting to pay attention to what Baynes and the Suns are doing.
