The Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns were battling each other on the basketball court in their best-of-seven playoff series. But it appears their fans were doing the same in the stands.

Check out the wild scene during Suns-Nuggets Game 3:

It's not clear from the video what exactly the fight was about or who instigated the hostility in the first place. More likely than not, it stemmed from some fandom-induced bravado, as tempers probably flared and words exchanged amid the Suns burying the Nuggets in an 0-3 hole.

What's visible from the first few frames of the clip is that the Suns fan, rocking a pretty tight Steve Nash retro jersey, came from several rows down. He's seen making his way up to face the Nuggets fans near the top row of the section. The action mellowed down for a bit after a momentary scuffle, but the Nuggets fan in the Jamal Murray uni was merely playing possum and pounced at Mr. Nash jersey in an attempt to get sneaky.

But the Suns fan was able to grab hold of him and rained down with some blows in retaliation. Security did come toward the end of the clip, probably to apprehend or at the very least settle down the man involved in the violence, but at least he was able to get out his final rally cry: “Suns in 4!”
