The ongoing trade saga surrounding Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe hasn’t completely dulled GM Ryan McDonough’s sense of humor. On a recent radio appearance on 98.7 FM Arizona's Sports Station's Burns & Gambo show, McDonough had a light-hearted answer to a joke asking him to join an office pool for when Bledsoe finally goes.

“I'll give you Sunday at 2 a.m.,” McDonough joked. “Just so people are up refreshing Twitter late night out at the bar.”

While McDonough still has the confidence to crack a joke during this time, he must be feeling a lot of pressure at the moment. His job is potentially on the line and could depend on what package he ultimately gets in this Bledsoe deal.

The Suns are still in no position to panic and lower their supposedly high asking price for Bledsoe. They can still afford to wait and see whether a team like the New York Knicks decides to soften its stance on players and assets they seemingly aren't willing to give up for Bledsoe.

There’s a decent chance this Bledsoe transfer saga takes months to play out. Although, it also won’t hurt to check Twitter on Sunday at 2 a.m. just to be sure McDonough didn’t pull a fast one.
