Phoenix Suns officials will travel to Toronto to meet with the franchise's top coaching candidate, Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams, on Friday, league sources told ESPN.

Williams has a second interview with the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday in Philadelphia that includes members of the Buss family, sources said.

The Suns had the worst record in the Western Conference this season. They won just 19 games. Phoenix hasn't had a winning record since the 2013-14 season or made the playoffs since 2010.

Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker will be playing for his fifth different head coach next season. Booker has played for Jeff Hornacek, Earl Watson, Jay Triano and Kokoškov.

Williams was the head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans for five seasons. He has also been an assistant coach with the Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
