The Phoenix Suns have no interest in adding Cleveland Cavaliers court general George Hill as their new starting point guard, according to Ashish Mathur of Amico Hoops.

The Suns recently started their search after trading Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss to the Houston Rockets in return for Ryan Anderson and De'Anthony Melton.

Letting Elfrid Payton walk in free agency and dropping Devin Booker's college teammate Tyler Ulis in the offseason only saw them reload with scattered pieces — now with the likes of Elie Okobo, Shaquille Harrison, and Isaiah Canaan besides Melton at the point guard position.

Phoenix is reportedly looking for an established floor general and recently made inquiries on some of the NBA's best like Kemba Walker, Damian Lillard, and the up-and-coming Terry Rozier.

An aging point guard at 32 years old, the Cavs' Hill and the $19 million owed to him this season seem like a disparity, despite a lone $1 million guaranteed for the 2019-20 season, given how they recently took on Anderson's $20 million contract.

Hill signed a three-year, $57 million deal, with only $40 million in guaranteed money — a contract way too hefty for a team looking to spend, but only if there's value in the return.
