The Phoenix Suns are coming off a tremendous season where they made a historic run all the way to the NBA Finals. Although Phoenix fell short of the ultimate goal, their fans were extremely supportive the entire way through.

In celebration of the Mexican routes within the state of Arizona and all of their Mexican-American supporters, the Suns released an awesome new jersey on Wednesday:

Per Wikipedia, Hispanic people make up 31.7% of the population in Arizona, with Mexicans accounting for 25.8%. Therefore, they're a big part of the state and lots of them are clearly fans of the Suns.

The jersey has an Aztec stone on the front behind the Phoenix logo and the numbers of each player. On the back is an Aztec death stone that β€œpays homage to fearless warriors even in the face of death.”

According to the release, the Aztec Sun Stone represents β€œa gathering of deities working as one. The Rays surrounding the triangular design represent emanating heat and unity, all originating from a single source, the Sun.”

The Suns already have a home edition jersey that says β€œThe Valley” on it, but this new one takes their pride in the state of Arizona to a whole different level. It will be exciting to see it finally hit the court next season.
