The Phoenix Suns have responded to a report that team owner Robert Sarver is trying to sell the team.

Per Duane Rankin of AZ Central, the report is not true:

The report was by John Shannon of Sportsnet. On Thursday, speaking to Steve Goldstein of KJZZ in Phoenix, Shannon claimed that Sarver has “quietly” put the team up for sale. Goldstein questioned his sources. But Shannon said that his sources are ‘impeccable'

“The interesting thing now, Steve, is that there are a great deal of rumblings — more than rumblings — that, very quietly, Robert Sarver has put the Suns up for sale. One of the issues that has always been in the Valley of the Sun — and I don't have to tell you this — is that for the size of the market, it makes no sense to have more than one arena.”

It's not hard to decipher why such a report came up. After all, the Suns have struggled heavily over the past few years. When this happens, there are usually problems in the front office.

True or not, the Suns organization are in an interesting position. They recently hired a new coach in Monty Williams. Let's see if this is just a string of changes that's about to come in Phoenix.
