The Phoenix Suns gave the Philadelphia 76ers their first defeat of the season, and they made sure everyone knew about it.

Shortly after the squad’s stunning 114-109 win over the erstwhile unbeaten Sixers on Monday, the Suns’ social media team went to work and rubbed salt to the wound with a sick burn on Twitter.

Winners of five of its first seven games, the young Suns are one of the biggest surprise teams of the 2019-20 NBA season — claiming victories over the Sixers, the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers.

They could have easily been 7-0 right now, as their two losses were just one-point defeats to the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets.

What’s even more impressive is the team is doing it sans sophomore center DeAndre Ayton, who have missed all but one game of the season due to a lengthy suspension.

Devin Booker has certainly built a case to make his first All-Star appearance this year, norming 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists on 49.1 percent shooting from the field and 47.1 from deep.

The 23-year-old lethal scorer torched the Sixers with 40 markers on an efficient 15-of-19 shooting from the field.

Phoenix is certainly looking like a team on the rise under Monty Williams. Ricky Rubio feels right at home orchestrating the Suns’ high octane offense, while Aaron Baynes is also making the most of his extended minutes in his first tour of duty in the Valley of the Sun.
