Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver has reportedly threatened to move the team, but President and CEO Justin Rowley is putting those rumors to rest for now. Rowley released a statement detailing the team's commitment to Phoenix. Rowley says:

“We have learned that a request has been made to continue the agenda item on the arena renovation until a council meeting on Jan. 23. We very much look forward to publicly discussing the many ways in which Talking Stick Resort Arena benefits Downtown Phoenix and our community at large, and answering any questions the Council and their constituents may have about the arena and the proposed renovation. Our priority remains being in Downtown Phoenix long term, and we're excited about the opportunity that lies ahead.”

This should come as a relief to Suns fans, but this also means that they still have to root for Phoenix. That seems like more of a punishment at this point. The Suns are on a 10-game losing streak with games against the Mavericks and Timberwolves before they embark on a five-game road trip on the East Coast.

Phoenix is a league-worst 4-24 and tough to watch this year. Outside of some young players showing promise, the Suns are downright brutal. Their sketchy point guard situation has slowed them down from Day 1.

Furthermore, their fraught point guard situation has forced Devin Booker into a role as the primary ball handler. Of course, Booker is good enough to handle it, but he's better off as a shooting guard. Unfortunately, the young star is currently injured.
