Phoenix Suns superstar Chris Paul was a man on a mission in Game 6 of the WCF against the Los Angeles Clippers and, apparently, Shaquille O'Neal knew what fueled CP3's epic performance. According to the Los Angeles Lakers icon, Paul was so comfortable playing in Staples Center that it felt like a home game for him.

Paul was an integral part of the ‘Lob City' franchise and spent six seasons as a member of the Clippers. His experience in playing in downtown LA proved to be huge on Wednesday night as he torched his former team and almost singlehandedly ended their season.

“Last night was like a home game for him even though they were on the road,” O'Neal said on Thursday (via NBA on TNT). “He was comfortable playing in the building. His family was there, he got some fans there, [even] Billy Crystal was in the building,”

The 36-year-old put out an unforgettable blockbuster performance in Hollywood. After a rather slow first half, the Suns' court general took over and erupted for 31 second-half points to keep the Clippers at bay. Every time LA tried to come back, Paul knew what he had to do and made the right plays every single time to take the air out of the very resilient Clippers team.

“The way he put his imprint in that fourth quarter, he was like ‘you know what, even though I'm on the road, I'm at the crib. I played here six years, I know the rims and I know the building let me get to my spot and do what I do.'” Shaq added.

In the same postseason, Paul has now clinched two different series in LA – the first against the Los Angeles Lakers and now against his former club with both wins coming in Game 6. Coincidentally, those two series-clinching wins were in the Staples Center. You do the math.
