New York City was rocked by an act of terrorism on Tuesday, as eight civilians died on a bike path near World Trade Center. It’s still unknown who the perpetrators are, but it is believed that the act was indeed targeting civilians. Nearby areas from the building were on lockdown for a couple of hours, which affected the traffic situation downtown, including the Phoenix Suns, who were inside their team bus.

With the team visiting the Brooklyn Nets, they were on their way to the Barclays Center when roads were closed before getting cleared almost an hour. The Suns were staying at a hotel only two blocks away from the arena, but arrived late at the venue. The good news though is that everyone is safe, and no one was harmed.

The Suns are looking to get back to their winning ways, and a victory on the night will bring them only a game away from returning to .500 on the season. The Nets on the other hand, have won three of their first seven games, and a win on the night will snap a two-game losing streak.
