Free agent forward Trevor Ariza has agreed to a one-year, $15 million deal with the Phoenix Suns, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

The Houston Rockets were going to have an awful tough time keeping Ariza at that range, especially after agreeing to ink point guard Chris Paul to a four-year, $160 million deal.

Ariza is a perfect fit in Phoenix, given them the much-needed three-and-D, capable shooting wing, joining star phenom Devin Booker and rookie center DeAndre Ayton in this rebuild through youth.

The 6-foot-8 forward will serve not only as an excellent defensive presence, able to defend the best perimeter player at the other end of the court, but also as a great mentor with championship experience.
