Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was ejected late in the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, raising confusion among fans, viewers and broadcasters as to what actually happened.

While the events that transpired prior to the ejection were not immediately clear, a video of the incident has since gone viral, showing what really happened. Of course, the video didn't help the confusion and disappointment of fans at all to what some deem as a really petty reason.

As can be seen in the video, after Deandre Ayton was called for a foul on LeBron James, Devin Booker appeared to have hurled some unsavory words to the  referee–perhaps questioning the legitimacy of the call. It earned the Suns All-Star his first technical foul, only to get another one a second later.

Following his first tech, Booker passed the ball to Mark Davis, albeit with a little force that looked like he was taking his frustration to the officials. This led to his second technical foul and automatic ejection from the contest, sending him to the Suns' locker room.

While the decision to eject Booker is questionable, especially in a close contest, it is not really surprising to see the officials do so. After all, it's not the first time that even the littlest sign of hostility to the official led to a technical foul.

Also, it should be worth remembering that San Antonio Spurs icon Tim Duncan was ejected from the bench for laughing.

Fortunately for Booker and the Suns, Phoenix was still able to get away with a 114-104 victory.
