Brandon Knight is probably more known by fans as the poor dude former Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan got brutally yammed over some years back. Knight has moved over from that, though, and is now looking forward to reminding NBA fans that he still exists.

If fans are wondering whatever happened to Knight or whether he still has what it takes to resuscitate his career, they will all get their answers once the 2018-19 NBA season kicks off, when the former Kentucky Wildcats guard is expected to make his return to action after a lengthy absence.

Brandon Knight missed the entire 2017-18 season to recuperate from a surgery to repair a torn ACL almost a year ago, but is raring to get back on the floor and join his teammates.

According to Cody Cunningham of NBA.com, Knight has the date of the new NBA season circled on his calendar.

“I’ve been excited since December, when I started running. I’m looking forward to it. I’m very excited about it,” Knight said.

Knight is still just 26, so there’s plenty of time for him to get his career back on track. With Eric Bledsoe, Tyler Ulis, and Elfrid Payton gone, Knight has the chance to form a solid backcourt combo with fellow Kentucky product and budding superstar, Devin Booker. As of this writing, the Suns’ options for true point guards are limited to just Knight, rookie Elie Okobo, and Shaq Harrison, a group that Knight can easily emerge out of as the position’s starter.

In 382 games played in the NBA so far, Knight has career averages of 15.2 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per contest.
