According to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro, the Phoenix Suns are now considering anyone among the L.A. Clippers' Patrick Beverley, the Indiana Pacers' Cory Joseph, and the Brooklyn Nets' Spencer Dinwiddie.

The Suns have done a commendable job on its roster this offseason, adding the likes of Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, and Trevor Ariza either through trades or via the draft. But one gaping hole the team still needs to address lies at the point guard position.

There were recent reports that the team had its eyes on the likes of Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker, and Terry Rozier. However, all three of those floor generals are at a tier that is above the Suns' pay grade, making them shift their focus to three other names that are more attainable.

Beverley tops the list as the most experienced of the trio with deep playoff runs for the Houston Rockets. He's also one of the fiercest defenders in the league. It'll be a challenge for the Suns as they try to pry Beverley away from the Clippers after averaging career-best numbers of 12.2 points and 1.7 steals to go along with 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He is coming off an injury that forced him to miss 71 games in 2017-18, though.

Joseph may be seeing himself fall out of Nate McMillan's graces after the Pacers acquired a rejuvenated Tyreke Evans in free agency. The Canadian point guard also owns a wealth of wisdom after playing under Gregg Popovich in San Antonio for a good amount of years. He's as steady as backups go but still unproven as a starter.

Lastly, Dinwiddie offers the most intrigue out of the bunch. The Nets point guard was among the candidates for Most Improved Player last season after admirably picking up the cudgels from the injured Jeremy Lin and D'Angelo Russell. Dinwiddie averaged 12.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in 80 games for Brooklyn last season.

Phoenix could really use a stabilizing force alongside rising star Devin Booker in the backcourt and any of these veterans could be the answer to the desert dwellers' prayers.
