The Phoenix Suns are reportedly interested in Darren Collison, but it appears the veteran guard is not interested in moving to the desert this summer.

Collison is expected draw interests from teams who are in need for a point guard, including the Suns. However, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 Phoenix revealed that signing Collison is out of the picture for the Suns. The free agent guard reportedly wants to sign with a contender, not with a rebuilding team like Phoenix, via Evan Sidery of SB Nation.

Collison spent the past 2018-19 season with the Indiana Pacers. He started in all the 76 games that he played in, averaging 11.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.4 steals per contest. He also shot particularly well, registering a 46.7 percent shooting clip overall  and 40.7 percent from deep.

With Collison likely out of the picture, the Suns are now expected to shift their attention to their other targets. Gambadoro earlier revealed that Phoenix is also eyeing free agent playmakers Patrick Beverley, Corey Joseph and Ricky Rubio.

Rubio is expected to move to another team this summer after his team, the Utah Jazz, found a new starting point guard. Utah struck a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, acquiring Mike Conley in exchange for Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver, Grayson Allen and two first-round picks.
