The Phoenix Suns are in dire need of a formidable point guard that should be able to nicely round out their current line up. So much so, that according to a report by ESPN's Jonathan Givony, the Suns are apparently willing to offer their No. 6 pick in the upcoming draft at the right price.

Phoenix's front office has told rival NBA teams it's open to trading this pick if the right veteran guard is available.

It is worth noting here that the report is quite specific on Phoenix requiring a veteran guard in exchange for their coveted No. 6 pick.

It seems that the Suns are unwilling to gamble on a rookie point guard via the draft, specifically Vanderbilt's Darius Garland or North Carolina's Coby White — two of the most promising point guards in the upcoming draft who will likely be available when the Suns select at the sixth spot.

With such a young roster, it appears that the Suns front office are looking for more stability at the one spot, and are more inclined on adding an experienced veteran as opposed to another up-and-coming potential future star.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball — who is obviously not a veteran — and Houston Rockets point god Chris Paul are just two of the big names that have been linked to Phoenix, but it appears that the Suns are unwilling to take on either guys.

It will be an interesting summer for Phoenix as they carry on their search for Devin Booker's backcourt partner in the hopes of finally getting out of their perpetual lottery-bound state year in and year out.
