Though his team was defeated at the hands of the Utah Jazz in Wednesday night's home game, Phoenix Suns forward Kelly Oubre Jr. gave fans who were watching a dazzling display of his rim-rocking capabilities.

With just over 10 minutes remaining on the third-quarter clock, Oubre picked off a pass that was intended for Jazz forward Joe Ingles. After outrunning his pursuers to the other end of the floor in transition, Oubre rose up for a flashy dunk.

Oubre logged 31 minutes in Wednesday's 114-97 loss, tallying 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring with 27 points.

“We have to move forward. We have had a pretty good stretch here in previous games and you have to keep building on that,” Booker told ESPN during his post-game media availability. “You are going to have lumps in the road but you've got to keep going and punch the clock every day.”

The Suns acquired Oubre by way of a trade with the Washington Wizards in December. He's made an immediate impact on the team since then. In 38 appearances (10 starts), the former Kansas Jayhawk has racked up averages of 16.3 points on 44.8 percent shooting from the field (32.1 percent from beyond the arc), 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 steals and one block in 29.0 minutes per outing.

Oubre and the Suns will be back in action on Friday night when they travel to Houston for a matchup against the Rockets. Tip-off inside the Toyota Center is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
