Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania arrives on PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X on October 5, 2021.
If you're a fan of Super Monkey Ball, then chances are you've already experienced some of the tracks in this game. The game is, after all, a love letter from Ryu Ga Gotoku to fans of the series. In an interview with Nintendo Everything, game director Masao Shirosaki is quoted saying:
“We had received a lot of opinions on how fans wanted original Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2 remakes, so Banana Mania would never have come to be if it weren’t for the voices of all those fans. We were able to remake those titles thanks to your requests.”
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania collects the first three titles into one game, revisiting the old courses while also introducing features and quality of life improvements from later games. Fans can expect tracks to be preserved the same way they have been from all these years. Except this time, they will be visiting these courses with improved physics, better controls, and less annoying camera work. It's a great treat for fans of the series, especially if you have been itching for the classic experience from older games.
