Valentina Shevchenko is set to defend her flyweight title against Taila Santos in a fun clash at UFC 275. The fight continues her attempt to clean out the division after defeating everyone that has tried to go up against her.

Taila Santos represents a new challenge for Valentina Shevchenko and the Brazilian believes she's the right person to upset the flyweight champion. The Brazilain recently spoke with Brazilian outlet Combate and dropped quite the truth bomb ahead of UFC 275.

“I believe I’m taking this fight to the ground.” Santos said (BloodyElbow). “Valentina is a very tough fighter. Her strong suit is in the striking game, but I believe I can be successful on the ground.”

“She’s very tough on the feet.” Taila continued, “She has defeated some really tough fighters. She’s also really smart, but I believe I’ll find success on the ground. That’s where I feel super comfortable. I come from a muay thai school, so I also feel great on the feet. However, I see her weaknesses on the ground, so I believe that’s the area where I’ll find success in the fight.”

The UFC flyweight champion has proven to be well-rounded so far and no one in the weight class has been able to figure out her weakness on the feet or on the ground. Taila Santos believes her ground game will be the difference once they fight in Singapore.

UFC 275 is all set to take place in June in the rare location of Singapore. Valentina Shevchenko will be looking to defend her title against Taila Santos and clean out the division.
