Team Liquid (TL) is inching ever closer to completing its superstar roster for the 2022 LCS season. On Tuesday, the org's latest announcement revealed the signing of AD Carry Steven “Hans sama” Liv, coming from Rogue in EU. The addition of Hans sama continues in the tradition of getting players who have already showcased exceptional performances domestically and who have had a taste of the Worlds stage.

Indeed, Hans sama has proven himself as one to watch among Western marksmen. He burst into the pro scene when he debuted for Misfits Gaming back in 2016, but only really shot to stardom when he moved to Rogue in November 2019 and helped lead the team to the upper echelon of Europe. With Hans sama at the helm, Rogue topped the 2020 and 2021 LEC Summer regular season as well as ended third on both occasions in the Summer playoffs.

On the global stage, the team had a decent showing at Worlds, though could not make it past the group stage. In the group of death with Damwon Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix, Rogue went toe to toe with NA's Cloud9 to vie for the knockout stage berth, but ultimately lost the 54-minute tiebreaker.

TL similarly had their Worlds hopes dashed early on, surrendering the knockout slots to Gen.G and MAD Lions in Group D after a crazy set of tiebreakers after all the four teams ended 3-3. Now the LCS squad has added Bwipo, former Fnatic top laner-turned-jungler, and confirmed the return of World Champion CoreJJ in the supporting role.

Down in the bot lane, the Hans sama-CoreJJ duo will definitely be one to watch. CoreJJ has played with some of the most dominant ADCs across the pro scene, including Gen.G's Ruler and NA icon DoubleLift. Hans sama is no slouch either, touted as the most dominant early game marksman in the LEC last season and with the fourth best KDA for his position.

For sure, it will be a daunting bot duo for any team to face. Combined with the rest of the star-studded roster, TL is again making themselves to be formidable challengers in the upcoming year as they look to stay dominant in NA while putting up a much better international showing. With the leak of veteran mid laner and former TSM star Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg also heading to the squad, TL's off-season roster moves are all but done and dusted.
