The USA Men's Basketball team has been making news headlines for a variety of reasons as of late. The latest buzz on Team USA is that two members of the roster will no longer push through with playing in the Tokyo Olympics.

Both Bradley Beal and Kevin Love are out for Team USA, with the former entering Health and Safety protocol and the latter choosing instead to focus on rehabbing his injury for the NBA season. This opened the door for former All-Star Isaiah Thomas to throw his hat into the ring as a potential replacement.

Unfortunately for IT, Beal and Love were shortly replaced by San Antonio Spurs' Keldon Johnson and Denver Nuggets' JaVale McGee. But that didn't stop fans from roasting Thomas for trying to sneak into Team USA's DMs.

That's a lot of disrespect thrown at a man who once a Top 5 NBA MVP candidate. Although harsh, Isaiah Thomas indeed wouldn't really make sense on the Team USA roster. Besides the fact that he's clearly lost a step, his lack of size would make him a defensive liability on the international stage. His main strength is on the offensive side of the floor, but they already have that covered with guys like Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant, and Zach LaVine already enlisted. But even then, fans didn't have to do Isaiah Thomas dirty like that.
