Team USA had all the reasons to be happy after winning the first of their two exhibition games against Australia on Thursday. The Americans beat the Boomers 102-86 to gain some much-needed momentum as they continue to prepare for the FIBA World Cup.

After the game, some of the players poked fun at each other, including Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell acting as an interviewer to Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma and even correcting Kuz's answer to the question he asked:

Mitchell and Kuzma played vital roles in Team USA's win against the Boomers, scoring 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Team USA will face the Australians again on Saturday at Marvel Arena in Melbourne. They will then face Team Canada on Monday before heading to China for the FIBA World Cup.

The Americans already defeated Spain a couple of days ago, and this win against Australia just proves that they can dominate some of the best basketball teams in the world despite not having superstars on their squad.

While having superstars would have made the competition easier, Team USA will have to make good use of the players they have. They may not be world-renowned superstars, but they are young, hard working players who want to make a name for themselves.

Helping Team USA capture the gold in China will be a good start for each and every one of them.
