Terrance McKinney was set to fight Fares Ziam at UFC Vegas 43 but the fight was pulled at the last minute. McKinney was forced off of the card after one of his cornermen tested positive for COVID-19.

Terrance McKinney posted the news on his Twitter account at the time. The UFC lightweight was expected to bring a lot of excitement to a card that desperately needed it.

“Someone in my corner got Covid and they were forced to cancel my fight. I don’t have Covid, but they say due to risk exposure I can’t fight. Sorry y’all, I appreciate all the support and love. We’re workin hard to get the fight rescheduled ASAP”

Terrance McKinney now has his next fight booked and it's against Fares Ziam at a soon-to-be-announced UFC event on February 26. The news was first reported by McKinney's management Iridium Sports Agency.

The fight was a fun one on paper and it's obvious the UFC liked it next for both men. The matchup is an exciting one as Fares Ziam is a good striker while McKinney has been making waves since he entered the promotion.

Fares Ziam has gone 1-2 in the UFC since 2019. The French fighter is coming off of two wins with decisions over Jamie Mullarky and Luigi Vendramini.

Terrance McKinney is coming off of a record knockout win over Matt Frevola in his UFC debut earlier this year. He has been building a fan base very quickly and many have high hopes for him in the promotion. He will have an opportunity to prove himself against the Frenchman.
