When NFL Hall-of-Famer Terrell Owens was cut from the Seahawks in 2012, many believed that was the end of the line for the enigmatic superstar. After 15 seasons of Pro-Bowl caliber play, his last comeback attempt was going to be a failure. Well, at least we thought it was the last attempt…In the years since being cut, he has: said he never retired, joined a flag football league, and worked out for the Canadian Football League–all while claiming he can still play in the NFL at just about every chance he gets.
Terrell Owens says after Antonio Brown got the boot from the Buccaneers on Sunday, he wants to step in and fill the void on Tampa's roster. https://t.co/NEGrWGQSYJ

That contention stayed the same today when Owens offered up his services to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers now that Antonio Brown is not with the team. He had an interview with TMZ Sports on Tuesday and had this to say:
“If you think about where they are in the season, they don't need me for a 16-game season, Three to four games at the max. So, yes, I feel like I can go in, I can contribute at a high level and can be productive.” – Terrell Owens
Owens is probably right in that he can probably be productive. He is/has and probably always will be one of the most physically fit people of his age. The issue with Owens was and still is, however, his inability to stay in the shadows. He is always seeking the spotlight and has never been bashful about admitting that. The Buccaneers need to enter the playoffs with zero distractions if they plan to have a chance at repeating as Super Bowl Champions, adding Owens would be the opposite of that.
