Andre Hal has missed the entire 2018 NFL season thus far for the Houston Texans due to the battle that he has been facing with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Back in May, the NFL world was shocked to hear that Hal had been diagnosed with the disease. Since then, he has fought well and received some very good news on Thursday.

According to a statement released by Texans' team physician Dr. James Muntz on their official Twitter account, Hal is in remission.

In the 2017 season with the Texans, Hal racked up 71 total tackles to go along with two forced fumbles, three interceptions, and five defended passes.

At 26 years old, Hal appear to be on the mend and may be able to return to football at some point in the future.

Hal has been spending a lot of time around the team as he has been going through treatment. He talked about needing to feel normal with his teammates instead of taking a ton of time away from the game entirely in a quote shared by ESPN.

So far, no timetable has been placed on Hal's return to the Texans. It may take some time, but he is one huge step back to regaining everything he has worked and fought so hard for over the last few months.
