After another lackluster performance for Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage during their 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football, a change at quarterback was yet again a topic of discussion.

According to Mark Berman of KRIV, head coach Bill O'Brien plans on sticking with Savage as his starting quarterback, for the time being.

“No, not right now,” O'Brien said. “It has to get corrected, because if not, we’re going to have to go in a different direction. We’re going to sit down and study it and try to make the correction.”

The loss of rising star rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson to a torn ACL in early November was a crushing blow for the Texans, as the Clemson University product was in the running for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The Texans signed veteran quarterback T.J. Yates as Savage’s backup after Watson was placed on injured reserve.

Last night during Monday night football, NFL lead scout Doug Farrar of Bleacher Report wanted it to be known on Twitter that free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick is still a better option than both Savage and the Ravens' Joe Flacco.

Earlier this month in an article by Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, coach O'Brien opened up about Kaepernick, but also said that he wanted to stick with the guys they already had on their roster.

“I've studied him since college and in professional football,” O'Brien said. “I've known him a long time. Colin Kaepernick is a good football player, hasn't played in a while. These things are going to continue to be discussed.”

Up next, the Texans (4-7) will travel to take on a division rival on Sunday when they face the Tennessee Titans (7-4) at Nissan Stadium. Back in Week 4, the Texans set a record for most points in franchise history when they crushed the Titans, 57-14, at NRG Stadium.
