The Houston Texans have been active in the trade market, and it doesn't sound like they're done yet judging by recent comments from head coach Bill O'Brien, via Texans Wire.

The Texans already traded for Duke Johnson, and now they might need to trade for another running back after Lamar Miller tore his ACL. They're also reportedly shopping Jadeveon Clowney, and looking for either an offensive tackle or wide receiver in return.

“I don’t have any specific things that are on the table,” said O’Brien. “I think with any trade, you’re always looking at the value of the trade relative to your team — your current team — relative to your future team.” O'Brien stayed vague on purpose, but he certainly seemed to indicate they were actively exploring all opportunities.

“Also, you’re looking at basically, sometimes in different trades, you have to give up a little bit more to get what you want,” said O’Brien. “You really do, it’s just like anything else, and we’re not there yet. We’re not there with any player.”

As for Clowney, O'Brien had something of a non-update.

“With JD (Clowney), it’s up to him when he wants to sign the tender and then we’ll all go from there. Again, we’re just going to get back to Houston and keep plugging away one day at a time.”

All the recent reporting has signaled that Clowney isn't long for the team but he needs to sign his tender before he can be traded. If they're looking for a replacement for Miller they can afford to take their time, since running backs usually don't take too long to acclimate to a new system.
