Head coach Bill O'Brien and his Houston Texans ended the team's 2019-20 campaign with quite the memorable — or forgettable — a loss at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite leading the Chiefs by the score of 24-0 early on in the first half, the Texans ultimately blew their massive lead and somehow wound up getting blown out themselves.

Not only that, but the Chiefs put up a whopping 51 points on the Texans, who couldn't stop Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes and company.

One key play came with the Texans already leading 21-0, however, as Houston decided to settle for a field goal despite having an opportunity to really pile it on the Chiefs. O'Brien initially had his offense on the field for fourth down and one yard to go before calling a timeout and then promptly sending his field-goal unit out onto the field.

Because of his conservative decision making against the Chiefs, Bill O'Brien was forced to answer for his thought process immediately after the game.

The Texans will now head back to Houston with the team's season coming to an abrupt halt. Had the Texans pulled off the upset win on the road in Kansas City, Houston would have hosted the rival Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game.

Instead, the Titans, who notably defeated the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens on Saturday evening, will now travel to Kansas City next weekend. The Titans actually beat the Chiefs in Nashville earlier in the year while splitting the team's two matchups against the AFC South Champion Texans.

The Texans will have to go back to the drawing board after another season that ended short of an appearance in the AFC Championship Game. In the history of their franchise, the furthest they have gone in the playoffs has been to the Divisional Round.
