The Houston Texans have seen the 2017 season quickly go south over the last few weeks, pushing them out of the playoff picture.

Deshaun Watson was lost for the season, spiraling their offense downward. Now, both wide receiver Bruce Ellington and tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz are out for the year as well after going on IR, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Wide receiver Bruce Ellington and tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz have been placed on injured reserve.

Ellington suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 24-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans. This wraps up his first season with the Texans after being waived by the San Francisco 49ers back in August, finishing with 29 catches on 54 targets for 330 receiving yards and two touchdowns while tallying six receptions of 20+ yards.

Fiedorowicz suffered his third concussion of the season on Sunday afternoon against the Titans in just his fourth game back from his second concussion. The 26-year-old's production was severely limited by injury this year, as he recorded just 14 catches on 21 targets for 127 receiving yards.

His absence could push second-year tight end Stephen Anderson into the starting lineup for the second straight game. Anderson is coming off the best performance of his brief career, posting a career-high five catches for 79 receiving yards and a touchdown.
