Houston Texans running back Carlos Hyde has bounced around the last couple of years, but he hopes that is done and he can stay in Houston.

Hyde left the Cleveland Browns for the San Francisco 49ers in 2018 and was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars midseason. In March, the Jaguars released him and he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. His time with the Chiefs didn't last long as they shipped him off to the Texans right before the start of the regular season.

Hyde had a career year with the team, rushing 245 times for 1,070 yards and six touchdowns. He got close to rushing for 1,000 yards twice with the 49ers, but never got over that key number.

“Yes, I definitely want to be back here,” Hyde said, via the Houston Chronicle. “I don’t want to go to another team and start all over again. I felt like Houston was home. I think I handled my part. I’ve just got to let things play out in the offseason and see what happens.”

Hyde seemed to be in a good grove with the Texans, so it would make sense if they can agree on a number for a contract, that the two sides get a deal done. Hyde is 29 years old, so it wouldn't be shocking if it was a shorter team deal.

Duke Johnson is under contract for next year, and he worked well alongside Hyde. If the team brings back Hyde, the running back room is going to be in really good shape.
