The Houston Texans failed to live up to expectations this season as injuries as key positions derailed their campaign. However, one of the few bright spots this season is the stellar performance of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Unfortunately, the Texans likely won't have their star wideout on Sunday. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Hopkins is reportedly expected to miss the season finale versus the Indianapolis Colts:

Hopkins is not expected to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts due to a calf injury, according to sources not authorized to speak publicly.

Hopkins has battled a lingering calf injury all week. At this point, it does not appear head coach Bill O'Brien is willing to risk further damage in a meaningless game against the lowly Colts.

As a result, Hopkins is set to miss the first game of his career. Although many are well-aware of his status as one of the most dynamic playmakers in the game, his durability has largely flown under the radar.

Should he ultimately sit out, Hopkins will still likely finish as the league leader in touchdowns (13). He currently sits at the No. 2 spot in receiving yards (1,378).

Additionally, his status for this year's Pro Bowl is now surely up in the air.
