Number one receivers always enjoy having that complementary number two guy playing with them. Much like with Jerry Rice and John Taylor or Lynn Swann and John Stallworth, it helps to have that other option to take the pressure off of yourself. And that's what DeAndre Hopkins has with Will Fuller.

When Will Fuller came back for the Thursday Night matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, he put together seven catches for 140 yards. It went well with the six catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns by Hopkins as he was noticeably happier with Fuller playing opposite of him.

“Will’s one of the fastest guys in the NFL, I think that speaks for itself, the way he can stretch the field and make plays like he did today. Will’s a great guy, came back from injury, made plays for us when we needed him today, to have that 1-2 punch is awesome.”

This combination of skills and great play by the two Texans pass catchers is something that is going to help them in the long run. It will take a lot of the load and pressure off of Hopkins when he faces other defenses down the stretch. And as for Fuller, his speed can stretch a defense enough to make any coordinator play conservatively.

It's all a matter of Fuller having his availability for the Texans as the season continues to roll along. If he can remain healthy then the team will continue to see these kinds of outputs by the tandem of Hopkins and Fuller.
