Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson may have taken plenty of hits during his team's season-opening loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, but he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Watson was sacked six times and hit 11 times in Week 1, and afterward, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said that Watson had some “normal bumps and bruises,” but nothing too serious.

So, it's looking like Watson will be just fine for Houston's Week 2 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday.

Still, the fact that Watson has already taken this many shots is concerning.

The 23-year-old was sacked 62 times in 2018, which led the NFL. The Texans tried to address their shoddy offensive line this offseason, most recently swinging a trade with the Miami Dolphins for left tackle Laremy Tunsil late last month.

However, the moves obviously did not pay off in the season opener.

Of course, it might take some time for the offensive line to gel, but seeing how Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck retired at the age of 29 largely due to the amount of punishment he took behind a poor offensive line in Indianapolis for years, the fact that Watson is still getting hit at this rate has to be worrisome for the Texans.

Houston won 11 games and captured the AFC South division title last year before ultimately falling to the Colts in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Since becoming an NFL franchise in 2002, the Texans have not made it past the Divisional Round.
