Michael Vick visited the Houston Texans' facility recently, so Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson got the chance to meet him. Speaking to the media recently at the team's minicamp, Watson revealed Vick was one of his childhood heroes, so the meeting was extra special.

“It was dope to be able to hang out with a longtime hero and a guy I looked up to who really encouraged me and motivated me,” Watson said, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. According to Wilson, Watson also noted that he still has a Vick jersey.

Michael Vick was one of the most exciting players in recent NFL history, so it's not surprising that today's generation of stars grew up idolizing him. Deshaun Watson is heading into a pivotal season, so hopefully he got some good advice from the Atlanta Falcons legend.

Watson got off to a torrid start as a rookie in 2017, but then suffered a torn ACL. He had another strong season last year, but it ended in disappointing fashion. The Texans won the AFC South, but then got embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs at home by the Indianapolis Colts.

Watson struggled in that game, notching only 235 yards on 49 pass attempts. The Texans are in a weird spot right now; they just fired general manager Brian Gaine. If they don't make it back to the playoffs this season, head coach Bill O'Brien could be on the hot seat.

There's a lot of change going on around Watson, and Vick would surely be a good source of knowledge on the wild nature of the NFL. Vick missed most of his third season in the league due to injury, so hopefully Watson's third year goes a bit smoother.
