Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson continues to lobby for a trade, in spite of the team showing no interest in moving him.

Dianna Russini of ESPN reported Thursday morning the Texans are still determined to “avoid conversations” involving Watson, adding “They are refusing to trade their franchise QB.”

Just a few hours later, Watson himself tweeted “Loyalty is everything. Don't you EVER forget it.”

Watson has hardly been shy about voicing his displeasure with the Texans on social media. This particular tweet seems to refer to the broken trust between the organization and its star.

The Texans were quick to make Watson the franchise quarterback by signing him to a four-year, $160 million extension last fall. Naturally, this suggested Houston was intent on building its culture around Watson.

Only, the Texans have done very little to alter their culture and heed Watson's suggestions. Owner Cal McNair has continued to stand by the controversial Jack Easterby. The more damning development came when it was revealed the Texans did not consult Watson or consider his personal input before hiring general manager Nick Caserio.

Everything has spiraled since then. Watson has indicated he has no intention of playing in Houston. Former NFL stars like Randy Moss and even Texans legend Andre Johnson suggested Watson hold firm in his trade demands.

It is unclear whether this situation will be resolved anytime soon. Houston has no desire to move Watson, at present. But the Texans might not have a choice if he threatens to hold out.
