The 2020 NFL offseason has been a tough one for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Watson lost his top receiving target when the Texans inexplicably traded All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for running back David Johnson and future draft-pick compensation.
Aside from an outpouring of criticism directed at Texans head coach Bill O'Brien, the move also resulted in a war of words between Hopkins and O'Brien, plus a pity party for Watson.
It would seem Watson is still trying to process everything that has happened. He tweeted Drake lyrics referring to the breakup of an “iconic duo” on Monday, and he followed with another cryptic tweet on Wednesday afternoon.
Watson tweeted “Don't deal with the lies and the frauds. That's why I don't get involved. .”

Watson was named to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season in 2019, and he has firmly cemented himself as one of the best quarterbacks in football. But the foundation appears to be crumbling around him.
The Texans acquired star left tackle Laremy Tunsil to help shore up the offensive line last year, but Watson was still sacked 44 times, often having to use his mobility to evade pressure and extend plays.
Now, Watson has lost his foremost playmaker and one of the best receivers in football, and Hopkins' departure is clearly not lost on the Texans star.
It bears wondering whether Watson is souring on the organization as a whole. The Texans will have a fifth-year option on their young quarterback in 2021, but there is a very high probability Watson could hold out in an effort to secure a massive extension.
In the meantime, Watson's Twitter feed is filled with fodder.
