The Houston Texans shockingly shipped DeAndre Hopkins in a trade to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, leaving Deshaun Watson speechless. After having a day to process his thoughts, Watson reacted to Hopkins being traded by the Texans.

Since Houston drafted Watson in 2017, the duo Watson and Hopkins has been of the best in the entire NFL. In just the past three seasons, Hopkins has combined for 315 receptions, 4,115 yards, and 31 touchdowns.

Also, with Watson as his quarterback, Hopkins was named an All-Pro for three consecutive seasons. As a matter of fact, before Watson arrived, Hopkins surprisingly had zero All-Pro nominations to his name.

Now, with Hopkins out of the mix, the Texans currently deploy a receiving corps that features Kenny Stills, Will Fuller, and Randall Cobb. The team signed Cobb on Monday to a three-year deal worth $27 million.

With Watson being the face of the franchise moving forward, it was a peculiar decision to move Hopkins for next to nothing. In return for Hopkins, Houston managed to acquire David Johnson, a second-round pick, and a fourth-round pick.

The lack of draft capital coupled with Johnson's expensive contract makes the trade even more questionable. Despite seeing his No. 1 receiver be sent to Arizona, Watson is remaining a class act, thanking Hopkins for their time together in Houston.

There's no doubt that the Texans have some questions to answer as the team moves forward without Hopkins on the roster. Considering the current state of the franchise, Watson could be hesitant on signing an extension with the Texans in the near future.
