Deshaun Watson is known as the franchise quarterback of the Houston Texans, but just like everyone else, he's endured a lot in his life.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic that's caused people to lose their homes, Watson reflected on his life-changing moment with ex-NFL running back Warrick Dunn, who played a huge role growing up.

The exchange began with Watson reaching out to help people in Texas that were in jeopardy of losing their homes due to financial concerns. After all, it was a feeling that Watson experienced himself in his younger days.

Before Watson was ever a Heisman Trophy–winning quarterback at Clemson, he and his family lived in a cramped apartment in Gainesville, Georgia. Then, one day, Watson brought a Habitat for Humanity note home to his mother.
From that moment, the Texans star's mother began working toward owning a home. And of course, the player's foundation that was providing affordable housing was none other than Dunn. At the time, Dunn was a star running back for the Atlanta Falcons.
After learning of their story, Dunn would provide Watson and his family with a fully furnished house. It's unlikely that he knew he would be aiding one of the future's highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL when he handed them the keys to the residence. Ever since Watson was drafted by the Texans, he's been an outstanding role model on and off the field.
Due to COVID-19, some families are getting hit harder than others financially and are at risk of not having a roof over their heads. While Watson looks to help those in need, his story involving Dunn should go to show that we all should pay it forward and commit acts of kindness because we never know what anyone is going through.
