The Houston Texans returned to the postseason in 2018 but were forced to play the majority of the campaign in the absence of a critical piece of the puzzle. Backup running back D'Onta Foreman missed most of this past season due to some lingering injury concerns while the Texans rusher is now impressing Houston early on in the offseason.

According to a report from John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Foreman is working quite hard with the 2019-20 now on the horizon.

Despite encountering a torn Achilles tendon prior to the start of the 2018-19 campaign, Foreman ultimately returned to the fold about one year after initially suffering the significant setback. The soon-to-be 23-year-old running back went on to appear in just one game for the Texans this past season en route to rushing for a one-yard loss on seven carries in all.

Even so, it was definitely a step in the right direction as the reserve rusher continues to make his way back to full health.

“I feel good, I feel great,” Foreman said back in November, via the Houston Chronicle. “I'm ready to go. I've been practicing. I feel very explosive. I'm cutting really good. I feel ready to go.”

A rookie in 2017, Foreman appeared in 10 regular season games for the Texans and carried the football 78 times in what would become his first NFL season.

As a result of the 10-game stretch in 2017, he notably rushed for 327 yards and a pair of touchdowns before eventually sustaining the aforementioned torn Achilles tendon.
