The legal saga involving Cleveland Browns and former Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson continued on Friday. As many as 30 women shockingly settled with the Texans in civil court, as written in a statement from attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents the plaintiffs. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network shared the statement on Twitter.

In the statement, Buzbee said, “Today all of the women who have made, or intended to make, claims against the Houston Texans organization have resolved their claims.” It's pretty shocking news, as many perhaps didn't know the Texans were facing legal action as a result of Deshaun Watson's actions.

Buzbee naturally wasn't willing to delve deeper into the role the Texans played in the allegations against the Browns star, though he did make one interesting note. The attorney made it a point to differentiate between how Houston handled the situation and how Watson's team has.

The Texans released a statement, with the McNair family, including Janice McNair, speaking after the huge news. In the statement, the McNairs said “Although our organization did not have any knowledge of Deshaun Watson's alleged misconduct, we have intentionally chosen to resolve this matter amicably.

Houston's ownership made it clear that the settlement wasn't an admission of wrongdoing in their statement. Watson, formerly employed of the Texans, had a suit filed against him in March of last year.

The Browns star settled 20 of 24 lawsuits- far differently than the Texans did- according to Buzbee. Now Watson's former team has shockingly opted to settle as well.
