The Houston Texans are visiting with tight end Darren Fells, leading some to speculate that he might be next to join the team.

The former Cleveland Brown is visiting “on the low,” since the league source who commented on the matter was not authorized to speak publicly.

Fells doesn't have a deal that's imminent quite yet, but that doesn't mean he isn't quite the player.

During his career with the Browns, especially this past season, Fells played in every game and caught 11 passes for 117 yards and three touchdowns.

According to Chron, Darren Fells has a long and storied history in professional football, as well.

Throughout the entirety of his career,  Fells has caught 68 passes for 830 yards and 10 touchdowns.

However, most interestingly, Fells did not play college football, which sets him apart from other professional players on the field today.

Fells attended Fullerton Union High School in Fullerton, California, where he played basketball. He was selected to the All-CIF Southern Section II-A second team as a junior while averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds as the team's center. He was named All-Freeway League second team also in his junior season.
