Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has long been one of the NFL's most beloved players for his stellar acts both on and off the field, and it appears even Hall of Famer Jim Brown is a fan.

Brown is not one to hand out compliments to just any player. However, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, he could not help himself when it came to Watt:

“He's one of a kind,” Brown said of Watt. “He has the spirit. He has the ability. He has the game. He has the attitude to affect the whole team. I have a lot of respect for him.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Brown's comments.

Although Watt's playing days are far from over, he has already established himself as a first-ball Hall of Famer. His status as a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and five-time first-team All-Pro has not gone unnoticed by Brown.

There was plenty of speculation regarding how Watt would be able to bounce back in the 2018 NFL season after dealing with multiple, severe injuries over the last few years.

Fortunately, he was able to use the doubt as motivation to piece together another Pro Bowl campaign after finishing with 16.0 sacks and seven forced fumbles.

Although the veteran is not where he used to be, there is no question that he is still one of the league's premier defensive players.

It is clear that his resilience has not gone unnoticed by Brown.

Watt may be destined to join him in the Hall of Fame one day, however, it is safe to say he is focused on winning a Super Bowl before he gets there.
